It combines elements of strategy video games and overhead view action video games. In the 22nd century, and mankind has drained every planet in the solar system of its natural resources. It came onto the video game scene at a time when this genre was immensely popular. The game has an extra level of violence to it as every enemy Dahna killed disappeared. The story is told through cut scenes and Dahna was helped along the way by various mythical beasts. Players control the title character who, in a medieval fantasy setting, struggled against the powers of an evil sorceress raiding her village. The player must use the resources at hand to build a railroad connecting the two ends of a map in each scenario. The game was released to an exclusively Japanese market with no release ever being attempted for the North American or European markets. The player flies a spaceship (specifically, a bioship) which has the standard forward guns to be found in all horizontal scrollers, but it also possesses a weapon that can be. While the game is essentially a standard horizontally scrolling shoot em up, it has an innovation that makes it unique in the genre.
